After salah the entire masjid takes bayah (initiation) with him into the Osmanli Naksibendi Hakkani Tarikat
The Masjid was completed in 1066 AH / 1656 AD. Shah Jahan ordered the construction of this Masjid. He was also the king who built the Taj Mahal.

The Jama Masjid was the result of the efforts of over 5,000 workers, over a period of six years.
